About us
our story
we developed Alchemunity to create a freelance alternative for a new remote working world.
Noticing existing platforms are either focused on being a pure talent matching play or direct talent agents for projects.
No one is focused on building an actual community for freelancers where they can come not to just find jobs, but to also upskill themselves, pick up a new skill set, enter into competitions and skill challenges to win prizes, engage and/or collaborate with other freelancers, showcasing themselves, teach other new skills, share their experiences, manage projects and talents for clients, and even sell or licence out their own developed products, all in one place.

Alchemuntiy Founded
Brainstormed Alchemunity: Jamie and Albert discussed a future for freelancing and decided there was a void in the market.

Our Vision
We saw the market was not truly valuing talents the way it should as a result of in transparency leading to expectation mismatching, price undercutting and a bad reputation for the freelancing community.
2021
Began prototype development.
We decided that this can only be built with a gamification structure in the background where community members are incentivised to earn points to level up and unlock hidden features.
2022
Trustap Payment System
To enhance our payment flow, we decided to use a payment processor with escrow payment services to provide an added level of security for our users. It took some time for us to find one that is suitable for a platform business such as ours. We were able to partner with Trustap and began incorporating their service onto our builtout.
2023
Smart Contracts
We knew it would need to be a decentralized platform in order to be a fully transparent online freelancing community. However, we had to do it by stages given our limitations as well as the current state of the blockchain technology. We found Curvegrid, a blockchain tech company based in Tokyo, to help us develop smart contracts for the point system and connecting us to the xDai network through their Multi-BaaS application server in Stage I.
2024
