Frequently Asked Questions
Which currency and country is supported in our beta test version?
Only US Dollar (USD) transactions are supported in this version.
There is no country limitation for Seekers as long as your projects and contests are posted in USD and your payment via credit cards or bank transfers are in USD.
How do I post a project?
A minimum of 5 credits worth of US$ 1.00 is required to post a project. As our beta testing member, we are giving you 20 free credits for posting any projects and/or contests for the first 3 months.
You can either post a Basic project without any milestones or an Advanced project with multiple milestones. The 1st milestone will always be allocated at 20% on both the expected price and time of the project. You can then allocate the remaining % of the project over the number of milestones you require.
The more time you would like your post to last for the bidding process, the more credits you will need. You can also “Feature” your post or mark it as “Urgent” with additional credits.
We encourage you to be as detailed and specific as you can when providing your project and skill requirements, since this will help attract high calibre Alchemists to bid. Your expected project price and completion time will set the basis for their bids. They have the options to either accept your expected price and time, bid up on the price, or bid down on the time and provide their reasons.

How do I post a contest?
A minimum of 5 credits worth of US$ 1.00 is required to post a contest. As our beta testing member, we are giving you 20 free credits for posting any projects and/or contests for the first 3 months.
We encourage you to be as specific as you can when providing the details and rules of the contest, since this will help attract more Alchemists to enter. You can specify the winning prize and entry deadline. Our current setup is that the winner takes all the prize money and all top 3 placements receive Skill Based Points (SBP) as rewards.

What do I do if I have insufficient credits when posting a project or a contest?
You can track your outstanding credit balance on the Finance page. When you get below 5 credits, you can simply craft more by purchasing credits via PayPal or credit card payments.

How do I review project bids from interested Alchemists and choose one?
Once you have posted a project, Alchemists with the relevant skills and levels will be notified and they will provide their bids based on your expected price and duration. You can chat with multiple Alchemists as part of the bid negotiation process and ask them to provide additional information or any added value services they may have.
Once you have selected the ideal candidate, the Alchemist will be notified and has the option to accept or decline your offer.

How do I review the work performed and pay the Alchemist at each project milestone?
Once the Alchemist accepts your offer, the project will begin and will appear in your project tracker. You can chat with each other on status updates and respond to any follow up questions. As soon as the Alchemist completes a milestone, you will be sent a request to pay and they should attach their work for you to preview. You can check the quality of their work in the Preview section. You can proceed to pay once you are satisfied with the deliverables, and the final work and related documents will be unlocked for you to download and save.
You can end the project and provide your review and rating on the Alchemist at the end of any milestone, or to continue onto the subsequent agreed milestones and provide your review and ratings then.

How do I review the contest submissions and award the winners?
You will see all the Alchemists and their submissions and/or uploaded preview files before the deadline. You can review their submissions and place their rankings. You are free to revise or change the rankings before final confirmation. Once you have finalized the placements, the system will ask you to deposit the winning prize money into the Trustap escrow account. The winning Alchemist will receive the prize and the top 3 ranked Alchemists will receive their respective SBP. The system will then unlock the final deliverables to you.

How do I process payment to the Trustap escrow account and have it released to the Alchemist?
Once a project milestone is completed or you have finalized the contest rankings, you will be asked to process the payment via Trustap.
For all project and contest payment transactions, we partner with Trustap, a payment processing service provider powered by Stripe, to provide secured escrow payment service for our users. You can either process payments via credit cards or bank transfers which will be deposited into the Trustap designated escrow accounts before being released to the Alchemists.
Visit https://www.trustap.com/faq/ to find out more about Trustap and their processing fees.

How do I provide a rating and review for the Alchemist when the project is completed?
After a milestone has been completed and paid, you are asked to provide a detailed review on the Alchemist. You can either do it then or wait until the final project is completed. The review allows you to rank the Alchemist in 5 categories and lets you write a full review as well as whether you would recommend the Alchemist to another Seeker. The Alchemists’ SBP status will be updated based on your ratings and their profiles will show your full review.
Since you are also being reviewed by the Alchemist, you can see your SP status in your Profile page.
